The Trinidad Esmeralda is a superb Robusto cigar measuring 145mm in length with a 54 ring gauge. They were released in 2019, presented in the traditional boxed format from Trinidad, encased in semi boite nature boxes of 12pcs. The Esmeralda begins slowly with soft aromas of bread, citrus and a bit of sweetness from the foot. The cold draw is easy and had forward flavours of soft bread flavour with a dash of black pepper. Once you lit this stogie there is a distinct pepper note with a touch of orange while the thick smoke offers a creamy flavour. In the second third flavours of cedar and hazelnut develop, with a white pepper note on the retro hale. The strength and body is light medium level, picking up steadily as the cigar progresses, finally reaching a medium plus level in the final section.
